 2. You have a demanding job with your fire trucks on call 24-7, loaded to the max with as much water as they can carry. Traveling off-road to get to the hot spots puts these small but incredible rigs in some tough spots. Twisting the truck frame and flatbed every which way but loose in some cases. |
This means: No skimping allowed on understructure with our brand of Strongback™ flatbeds. T-6061 aluminum alloy SAE structurally proven and designed extrusions are standard material demanded by our engineering staff. The outside channel beams are six inch T6061 aluminum with 4"inch cross members welded every 12" inches. No rivets to pop loose on a side-hill here. |
3. Just as you can pick the perfect flatbed, you can also pick the type of pump system from the manufacturer you like. Some fire companies, with in-house mechanics, prefer to build their own. Most will purchase a "slip-on" unit which has a water tank-pump combination that can simply be slipped on your truck bed. Notice the spare tire racks on top of these well thought out fire trucks.

7. We can ship to your door. Many of our flatbeds can be shipped via common carrier truck. This 9 foot bed easily ships in one package. The tail board comes pre welded with head board and under bed tool boxes predrilled and ready to bolt on the flatbed. We can ship this package to your door or to your favorite up fitter, body shop, or weld shop. |

What's the plan of attack? |
Call and get a free quote from us . Why? Let us put your dimensions and options wanted on paper and give you a quote so you know where we stand. We can usually do this within 24 hours. When you're ready to buy, we'll send you what we call a cover sheet. (A cover sheet is the first sheet of a set of prints for your product.) You then have a picture of your flatbed and some time to think or talk about it with your staff; make corrections or additions as you think best. If you have changes, simply call and we send you another cover sheet with corrections. We do this until you're satisfied. Now you have a plan of attack so when it's time to order you simply tell us to push the button. We'll give you a production date and eta for the best aluminum quick response fire truck flatbed you can get. |
